When you’re tardy for something as important as an interview, your portal to that world of employment—you give interviewers a bad first impression. No one likes having their time wasted.

2. BEING DISRESPECTFUL.
Dress appropriately, groom your hair and your fingernails, and “don’t sit down unless you are told to do so”.

3. LOOKING AT YOUR WATCH.
“The applicant has to be focused. Looking at the time might send a signal that he’s uninterested, bored, or in a hurry to finish the interview”.

4. FOLLOWING UP…OR NOT FOLLOWING UP.
“Follow up if it is allowed, and don’t if it is not.” At the end of an interview, the interviewer will ask if you have any questions. You may ask the interviewer if you could do follow-ups and ask for the name of the person and contact details to do your follow-ups.”

5. GIVING A “TOKEN.”
So the interview went on swimmingly, and you’d like to send your interviewer a little thank-you gift? Don’t. “Resist this urge at all costs. A gift will only ensure that you are remembered for the wrong reasons, since it may look like you’re attempting to bribe your way into the interviewer’s good graces. ”
