big Samsung OMNIA is possibly the best ever smartphone that Samsung has ever built. OMNIA is definitely a better name than SGH-i900, which means ‘everything’ in Latin and ‘wish’ in Arabic. The OMNIA is essentially everything that you can possibly wish for on a Windows Mobile 6.1 smart phone. It brings together high performance business content, high-end design mixed with a full bag of dynamic multimedia rich experience.

The Samsung OMNIA is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and comes packed with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word). Even though the OMNIA is 100% touch screen, Samsung included an optical mouse for ease of navigation - the optical mouse is similar to what you’d find on laptops.

Motorola introduces a pair of noise-cancelling headsets. The H15 and H780 headsets.

Motorola H15

The H15 (at the right) boasts Motorola exclusive flip design, which is a new way of saving battery life if you’re constantly on the blower. RapidConnect - which does exactly what it says on the tin - lets you answer calls immediately by flipping the headset open, and closing it again will curtail the battery drain.

To keep everything clear, the H15 employs a pair of microphones, located in the top and bottom of the device. An internal processor compares the two and isolates the sound of your voice from the background hum. And if those noise levels are fluctuating, when you cross a busy street for example, the volume automatically adjusts so you can still hear the other person. At least that way other people aren’t the only ones getting the benefit of your headset tech. Continue reading…

Do you believe that a substance found in broccoli may limit the damage which leads to serious lung disease? Well, if you don’t, better believe it, because US scientists found that sulforapane increases the activity of the NRF2 gene in human lung cells which protects cells from damage caused by toxins.

The same broccoli compound was recently found to be protective against damage to blood vessels caused by diabetes.

Brassica vegetables such as broccoli have also been linked to a lower risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Cell pollutants

In the latest study, a team from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine found significantly lower activity of the NRF2 gene in smokers with advanced COPD.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is often caused by smoking and kills about 30,000 UK residents a year. Continue reading…

As to what you can see in the image. First you wouldn’t think it is a deadly weapon. Right? Later, you’ll know what i mean. That thing that man is holding at is a slick little MagPul FMG9 (or, FMG-9) a.k.a. "Glock in a Box" prototype folding 9mm Parabellum (9×19mm NATO ) mini / micro-submachine gun (SMG) that utilizes a Glock 17 slide and any factory Glock 9mm magazine, including 30-33-round Glock 18 mags. "FMG" would seem to stand for "Folding Machine Gun".
