Does it take way too much time to boot up? Would you like a simple, uncomplicated software that can help you optimize the programs that load on Windows startup and make your PC boot a lot faster?

If yes, check out Soluto a tiny software startup in Israel is trying to make your PC less frustrating. This program takes the concept of optimizing your system’s startup program to a new level. From a purely technical perspective, What Soluto does is either disable programs that start with Windows or otherwise delays them so that they load after the boot process is finished.

The idea behind Soluto is to use the experience of thousands (or, ultimately, millions) of PC users to approximate the knowledge that a Windows expert gathers by trial and error. The software—currently in beta and free for the download—runs as a background service that watches your PC as it works, detecting slowdowns and trying to analyze the cause. By comparing those events and possible causes against a database of apps, drivers, and other software (cleverly called the PC Genome), the software can suggest solutions that you can implement with a click or two.

Here’s my experience in using Soluto. I’m an advance user and I have already done some optimization on my system. But Soluto impresses me with how easy it easy to improve your boot time. After installing it, i ran the software and it asks me to reboot. After it rebooted it analyzes the time it took for my computer to completely boot (screenshot below)

And with that information above, i opened Soluto and i was presented by this screen (below)

Then i point my mouse to the green area which say “No-brainer – remove from boot”. Notice that It also shows the number of apps and the number of seconds i can save if i were to pause the startup of the program. (screenshot below)

Next, i clicked the Pause button and Soluto automatically apply the changes and calculates how many application and the number of seconds that i have saved. (take a look at the contents of the green circle) It then presents me with the screenshot below.

Well, I only save 1 second from my previous boot time, but no worries, i have not yet looked at the “Potentially removable” area (the orange area). Maybe i should try pausing some of the applications there so that i can improve my boot time significantly.
